Wild corners of nature: Gibbon Pass e Shadow Lake
To let the fate chose is actually a really good idea: this weekend we ended up at Gibbon Pass and then at the Shadow Lake, such amazing places!

Our first backcountry adventure: more than 30 km and 1.000 meters heightdrop, the Elk Lake for dinner and Cascade Amphiteater for lunch, not bad!

Our stop is due just some kilometers after Lake Louise, it is impossible not to notice the totally packed parking lot with lots of road signs pointing out to Johnston Canyon. We search for some little space for our car – not an easy task, mostly among this road giants so common here around – we refill our water bottles and here we are, deep in the woods again.

It rains again, another time. It is beginning to be usual to wake up under an annoying light rain. Our dreams about daylong hiking were gone in the exact moment we opened our eyes this morning, but this will not stop anyways.

It is finally time for it, we were waiting for this since a long time. We have driven lot, flewn even more, but finally here we are, we put on or loyal boots and we are ready to go, our first canadian hike is wating for us.
